How to Walk a Human

A Dog’s Guide

I saw this meme on social media, and I thought it was so cute that I would share it here! I wanted to give credit, so I looked up the title and the same Dog Guide came up in multiple places, so I am not sure who the original creator or writer is. I will give credit to the name on the meme where I first saw this:  Great Pyrenees Rescue, Atlanta.

Humans need exercise. If they don’t get it, they become “chubby.” It’s up to you to save them.

  1. Allow your human to tether themselves to you. This keeps them from wandering off or running away.
  2. Your human probably needs breaks be considerate and stop and sniff often.
  3. Bark frequently. Humans have a short attention span.
  4. When you go to the bathroom, walk away. If you have trained your human correctly, they will pick it up. Good aerobics.
  5. Periodically drag your humans as fast as you can. This is called interval training.
  6. Do not allow your human to shorten the walk. They are being lazy. Sit in protest if you must.
  7. Once you are home, allow your human to remove their tether. Then lick their face many times period this is a positive reinforcement for a job well done.

It is fun for kids and a great way to learn when our children hear what we/they should be doing from a different perspective. And in this case, the dog’s perspective. Bringing a dog into the family mix can sometimes be challenging. Laughter can help us get through the harder times.

It is important the our kids bond with their dog, or any other pet. I have written the cutest book called A Book with My Dog and you can find it here on this sight under “shop.” It is also available on Amazon in Kindle and paperback form. This book will bring out your kids imagination while they read in dog language. It is super fun!

Hope you enjoyed How to Walk a Human as much as I did! This is the original post that I saw on social media:
