Ideas for Kids Halloween Parties

Planning a Halloween party for your kids, and you are looking for some fun ideas?

Here are some ideas that everyone can participate in! These ideas are all family friendly and can be done as a family or with friends.

Have a face painting party.

Kids get to paint other kids faces. Who can paint the best face on someone?  You can set the theme if you like: scary, pretty, cartoon characters, etcetera. Depending on the age, you can set rule such as stay away from the eyes.

Have a scarecrow making contest or simply make one or two scarecrows working as a team.

Gather old clothes from your home or a secondhand store. Get plenty of hay or straw, long sticks or old broom handles, string or twine, markers for the face, a burlap bag or sheet for the head, and do not forget a hat.

Have a pumpkin carving or paint-the-face-on-the-pumpkin party.

For younger kids, painting a face on a pumpkin may be a bit safer and not as messy for the host. For older kids, they can clean their pumpkin and then get creative using tools to carve the best face on their pumpkin.

Have a caramel apple making party.

Provide creative toppings and each kid makes their own caramel apple by dipping the apple in the caramel. Then they have more fun using the toppings of their choice. Ideas for toppings: nuts, small chocolate chips, crushed Oreo cookies, and other fun toppings.

Have a movie night with orange and black snacks.

Age-appropriate Halloween movies are the best. Make sure the young kids are shown fun cartoons or movies that are not scary as you do not know how all kids will react to scary.

And of course, with all these ideas, have a costume contest and the kids get to vote on the winner(s).

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
