Sharing My Journey – January 30. 2022

Today is my first post under FOLLOW MY JOURNEY. In all my research, every instructional article I have read has stated that I should share what I am doing each day while following my dreams. I guess, like a blogger. I do not consider myself a blogger, but I have a reason for this website, and it is to provide tools for families that create family unity and make a parent’s life more manageable.

My desire in life is to stay connected to my family and my dearest friends; this is important to me. During Covid (and still covid), I saw families fighting due to quarantine and seeing too much of each other. And on the other hand, NOT seeing family outside of the home because of the fear of catching something or passing a virus onto someone who was elderly or health compromised. This was, and still is, a heartbreaking reality for me. Hence, part of the reason for this site.

When my kids were young, I created multiple items that I will bring to life for others. As I turn these items into a saleable product, I will offer them on the Boutique page. I will also provide a plethora of free information and tools.

Here is a little bit about my start.

In 2008, I started a blog called emomsblog.com. It was a fantastic site, but it was hacked, and while I was on a shoestring budget, I could not pay anyone to fix it, so I had to delete all the files to have the site released back to me from the web hosting service. I lost all my articles and tools I had shared.

During the time of building emomsblog, I was also speaking and teaching goal setting. I wrote and published a self-help book for women in 2011. I then started a book for teens, finishing the writing in 2019. This book teaches teens to set goals and walks them through planning for goal achievement. I am currently in the process of changing the cover. Both books will be posted to this site shortly after the writing of this post.

I have brought my first product to life, and you can find it on the boutique page. My family used this at the dinner table, in the car, and at family reunions. It is a collection of questions that are introspective and thought provoking. You will find out about yourself, as well as finding out fun facts about family and friends. The Chatterbox will keep you entertained, laughing, and building bonds.
